Know Which Invoices Are Paid, Pending or Overdue

Keep a clear record of what you have billed and which invoices still need attention, alongside the PDFs you create.

Open your invoice list

Sign in or create an account to use the workspace. Check current plan features and allowances.

Find the invoice you need

Search the document list by invoice number or customer name. Use status filters to narrow the list, then download an invoice or reuse its details for another bill. This helps freelancers, consultants, contractors and small businesses keep repeat work organized.

Understand invoice status

Pending invoices are awaiting payment; paid invoices are marked as paid; overdue invoices have passed their due date. The application also stores a draft status, but it does not provide an edit-and-resume draft workflow. Eligible unpaid invoices are marked overdue by the scheduled daily check.

Record payment status yourself

Mark a single invoice paid, or select several and use bulk mark paid. Update status after confirming payment through your own records. Marking paid does not detect a bank transaction or automatically add an income transaction.

Review your billing activity

Dashboard summaries show recent invoices, status-based collections and billing trends. Use these views to review activity, then record actual income and expenses separately for financial reports. They are invoice summaries, not bank reconciliation or currency-converted totals.

Frequently asked questions

Does SimpleInvoicePDF automatically detect customer payments?

No. You confirm receipt and mark invoices paid. Status tracking is not automatic bank or payment reconciliation.

Can I mark several invoices paid at once?

Yes. Select invoices in Documents and use the bulk mark-paid action.

Does marking paid create an income transaction?

No. Record an income transaction separately, with an optional link to the invoice, when you want it included in financial reports.
